Hi, I'm Alexis!
I'm an iOS developer with 3 years of experience creating apps and shipping them to the App Store. I work with Swift and Objective-C and recently published my own app, WeatherColor, that I built using SwiftUI.

WeatherColor is a very simple weather app that I built to learn SwiftUI and dive deeper into experimenting with Swift itself.
After leaving the last company I worked at, Linxo, I wanted to take some time to build something on my own and explore parts of the iOS SDK that I hadn't had a chance to touch (mainly SwiftUI).
Though I published the app to the App Store, my goal in building it was not to commercialize it but to use it as a learning experience to deepen my knowledge as a developer.
I had a lot of fun working on this project and the screen shots you can see below are the first iteration of the app (the MVP version). I am currently working on new updates and features that I will be publishing as they are developed.
So far some of the highlights of the app include: UI built with SwiftUI, a custom built web client using URLSession, unit tests, dynamic code generation to securely store app secrets using Sourcery, search completion using Core Location.

I used to work at a French fintech startup named Linxo, based in Aix-en-Provence. During my 2.5 years there, I saw our user base grow from around 1 million to over 2.5 million users, our iOS app reached the number one rank in the Finance section of the French App Store, and the company grew from 28 employees to over 80.
I learned tremendous amounts as an iOS developer, worked with talented colleagues, and made life long friends there.
The Linxo app was (and still is) written in both Swift and Objective-C so I became comfortable with both languages and adept at handling interoperability bugs.
Our workflow was based around the agile methodology of software development with sprint plannings, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
We operated on a git-flow version control system and had a full blown CI/CD pipeline to ensure smooth release cycles and catch bugs before they were pushed out to production.
For screenshots of the app, please visit Linxo's App Store page.

In order to become a software developer in the first place, I went through a 6-month apprenticeship program at Bloc Coding School.
Throughout my 6-month iOS apprenticeship, I was paired one-on-one with an amazing mentor who taught me Objective-C, Swift, and various fundamental concepts of software development like how to use git and version control, separation of concerns, reducing code duplication, etc.
As a part of the program, I built 2 apps in order to put to practice the concepts that I had learned.
The first was an Instagram client which pulled data from Instagram (photos, comments, user profiles, etc) and displayed it in a social media-like fashion.
The second was a Quora-like social media platform where users could ask questions and get answers from other users of the platform. I built it using Firebase Database (to store users and messages) and Firebase Authentication (to allow users to login to their accounts). Once the project was completed, I published it to the App Store.
